Men's tennis hosting Alabama State at noon, then #3 Virginia at 5 pm

Tomorrow Clemson men's tennis will be hosting a doubleheader. Alabama State at noon to get the record to .500. Although they are not a bad team who was in the top 75 earlier in the year so can't overlook them too much.


Then at 5 pm the defending back-to-back national champion and #3 Virginia Cavaliers come to town. Virginia has beaten us 20 straight times, we have not won vs them since 2003. What's funny is, we still lead the overall series 42-32.

The Cavs are 18-4 and 10-0 in the ACC on the year. They have not been quite as invincible looking as they were a year ago with some tight wins over NC State, Wake Forest etc.


Virginia projected lineup:

1. #7 Chris Rodesch, Sr. Angelsburg,Luxembourg
2. #53 Jeffrey Von Der Schulenburg, Sr. Zurich,Switzerland
3. #48 Dylan Dietrich, Fr. Zurich,Switzerland
4. Mans Dahlberg, So. Gothenburg,Sweden
5. Alexander Kiefer, Sr. The Woodlands,TX
6. Edoardo Graziani, Gr. Padua,Italy / Transfer from Penn

may play at #2 or #3. #36 Inaki Montes De La Torre, Sr. Pamplona,Spain. - He has been in and out all year with nagging injury. His availability is critical to UVA's chances of going for the national title three-peat but not critical for them to beat us so I don't expect him to play tomorrow.

I just hope we can keep it competitive and maybe steal a victory on one court to get a point on the board.
