listening to the coaches - Nascar style

So I will be going to the game in Atlanta. I read http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/8314421/sec-officials-wear-wireless-microphones-thursday-game-south-carolina-gamecocks-vanderbilt-commodores
and it caught my attention. I have a Nascar scanner. Anyone know anything about this? If it turns out it's radio waves, rather than phone waves indicated by the "verizon" sticker on the side, then I could pick it up on a UHF or VHF frequency with my Nascar scanner.

Just a thought.
