How is the upper deck at Death Valley???

I've always had first 5 row tickets for my entire life (since middle school)

but I'm thinking about upper deck for the Stanford game. I actually don't have a ticket for that game.

i'm thinking about just getting a case of beer and roll into upper deck than pay $200 for a random lower deck ticket

these Cali ticket prices are out of control for such a garbage team

Sat in TDS for the last few years. The ability to watch plays develop is what I enjoy most. I sat in the lowers for about ~4 seasons. Definitely feel more part of the game in the lowers, but enjoy being able to watch football and see plays develop in the uppers.

Guess I’ve been hanging out with Spud as well

absolutely choose top deck south. Better seats, less steep. Better view of the field

Just between us, top deck south 50 yard line front row is the best seat in the house other than inside a skybox. Gauge whatever seats are available based on that. Top deck south is better than north. North is steeper and higher than south.

Yup North is bigger since they didn’t have the cemetery to deal with. Pretty noticeable from this photo.

The first few rows of the south upper deck are great. The north upper deck is very steep. Might want to rethink that many beers if you are going very far up in that one.

We sat in the first 8-10 rows of the lower deck when our daughter was a mascot and they are so low you can’t see over the players. For the last 8 years we have been in row FF of the lower deck which is 30 rows up. That is the right height for me.

Back when my kids were small and we weren't that great, I got upper deck tickets because 1) cost, 2) I could let my kids roam around up top and they wouldn't be bothering anybody. But i'd much rather sit in lower deck.

generally speaking about Top Deck North

My first game years ago I was in the very top row. Had a nice view and really could see everything great. I have had seats in the Horseshoe and the Big House that were awful.

Make sure you get as close to 50 as possible. Somebody’s daughters in sundresses and a great view, you will enjoy it!

I would recommend a row with a single letter, preferably the first half of the alphabet. We moved from N to K the last year we were upstairs, and it was enough to make a difference.

Get south side, first 10 rows. I love it up there. As others have stated, you can see the plays develop.

I went to the Clemson Furman game 2 years ago. Before the game I was in TTT downtown. Me and my wife were about to leave. I saw this older couple and offered them our chairs. (It was standing room only). The guy offered me tickets to the following week game against La Tech. I took him up on his offer. He had tickets in TDG. Or was in Row A. It was the best seats ever. I loved being in the front row and having the wall in front of me. And it was a great view. I look for Row A tickets now every time for the upper Deck!

And shout out to Big Kev who is from Mount pleasant but now lives in Ormond Beach for giving me the tickets. If you are on Tigernet they were the best seats ever.

TDP for the last 5 years, I like it. You can see stuff develop that you cannot see down below. The below you get a little more of a sense of the game, you can hear the hits and the noise...

I think being in the first 15 rows helps alot too in the uppers.

Used to sit near the top of the North Deck in the 80's when I was very young. No way I could do it now. I get dizzy and lightheaded very easy being on blood pressure meds.

When I was in highschool I had season tickets on the very top row of north right when they opened it. I can still remember the country boy who sat in front of me every week yelling “come on deefiunce” … he didn’t care what clemson did on offense, but Danny’s Deefiunce fed his soul.
As a beer guzzling kid, I thought those seats were great - I was just happy to be in the stadium. But these days… no way in the world would I ever even think about hiking up there. Pretty sure the Everest Sherpas use those stairs for off season training.
