to or not. I was getting as amped as any one for football. The trash taking with South Carolina fans was just getting heated and i was eagerly awaiting the 1st game of the year at the Valley.
Well, i am truly sad to say i will miss my 1st opening game and second home game in 12 years. I posted last year about my niece who was diagnosed with cancer.
Today her body could no longer support the spirit that was deep within her. Her daddy is a Gamecock and she loved softball. However through some encouragement, some coaches, solid fans, and some tiger players i managed to swing her to the good side. She had to hear her daddy talk abut the Gamecocks all year but every fall, when the leaves of green on the trees were replaced with the boys of orange on the filed her heart grew orange. Her eyes grew large and bright and her voice was booming with C L E M S O N!
My family has spent the last 3 years trying to squeeze a lifetime of joy into a few short days. My best attempt was the day i brought her to Clemson and Coach surprised her with a visit. The best part of that day was when we were leaving Coaches office and heading back to the car. As we left his office she suddenly turned around and gave me a huge hug.
Like many teenagers she constantly posted on facebook and twitter. Most days it would be full of teenage jibber jab. But that day it simply had a picture of her with coach and the words "coach Dabo.. nuff said."
Please keep my family, especially my sister in your prayers.
Taylor Filorimo, Your uncles loves you dearly and he will always "Pray for Tay."
