Student is 18 years old. A teacher having a sexual relationship with an 18 year old student is absolutely inappropriate and wildly unethical, and grounds for immediate termination. But illegal? How? Why? Does that law apply to every other workplace where superiors have relationships with subordinates, all of whom are 18+?

"Under Louisiana law, sexual acts between an educator and student are illegal when the student is 17 or older, but under the age of 21, and the teacher is more than four years older than the student."

If I'm reading this correctly, it would be totally fine if she were <22 yrs old. That kind of takes the "position of authority" argument out of it, right?
