-Recruiting
-Developing talent
-Generating excitement in the program (Brad Boring Brownell)
-Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory
-Calling timeouts to stop or slow momentum
-Sustaining success

See how this works, Judge Keller? Quit deflecting to football, it makes you look very ignorant and petty. There are absolutely no similarities between these programs. Dabo's off-years generate conference championships and bowl victories. Brad can't even sniff the Not-In-Tournament every year....Give it a rest! I have supported the Basketball program through thick and thin, but it is time for change.

We’ve got to let this season play out, but if we miss the tournament again, we have to make a change — and saying “well we never figured it out before, why try now” is, in my opinion, a loser mentality.

I would add
Instills confidence in players
Inspires players to perform at a high level
Compliments players instead of yelling at them from the bench and incessantly waving arms
