Syracuse at UGA: UGA would be a 3.5 point favorite.
UGA at Syracuse: Syracuse would be a 1.5 point favorite.

UGA vs. Cuse: UGA is facing a tough, undefeated foe worthy of being ranked in the top 10 in the country. No easy wins for this hardened SEC team who has to run the gauntlet every week.
Clemson vs. Cuse: Clemson has another game against a mediocre team in a mediocre conference. Cuse is over-rated and will be lucky to win another game this year.

I think u can really be overrated at beginning of the year. U win ,people lose u move up. Are they as good as their ranking, prolly not. But they got there by winning,other people losing. It normally works out.

I think it might be a bit harsh to categorize the ACC as mediocre this year. The current Top 25 by # of conference teams are:
SEC 6
ACC 5
Big 10, Big 12, and PAC with 3 teams each
These 5 conferences make up 23 of the 25 teams in the Top 25 this week. The ACC has also had a couple of other teams that have been ranked this year which means half the conference has been ranked at some point this year.
I think the conference is doing a pretty good job of establishing some parity and stands in the Top echelon of conferences this year.

I think your friend is spot on. Would love to put all of my personal wealth in his hands. Uga would never schedule Syracuse for the same reason they won’t play Clemson anymore. Their sec least gauntlet is tough enough
