since 2011...is actually up today.
I find this fascinating that people are still buying a stock that they have no idea what it is. And have been for two + weeks.

college degree in Financial Management where we learned how to judge the health of a company by it's performance, assets, historic trends, etc. etc. etc. All of that is a piece of the puzzle of figuring out where to invest money in order to get a nice return on your cash investment.
AND THIS IS THE TYPE OF SPECULATION ######## THAT MAKES ME GLAD I WENT INTO THE MANUFACTURING WORLD INSTEAD OF THE FINANCIAL SECTOR. WAT A CROCK OF ####. TOO MANY DUMB ##### WITH MONEY ####### UP THE MARKET.

What do you think about coronavirus & shale oil bail outs?
Mar 9, 2020, 9:52 AM

Small government, free market capitalism will be challenged by cries for big, federal intervention.
(And BTW I am not sure of what to think or what to do at this point especially given existing deficits, low interest rates and lower business tax structure. Liquidity doesn’t seem to be the problem — simple demand and supply relationships seem in question. Not sure the fix given the exsting issues.)

or raises the price to a point that Shale is profitable.
It just like any business. As long as the price is low enough, no need to enter the market.
But Shale has effectively put a cap on the price of crude.

the price of oil would indeed fall back below $100. He bet it would never happen again.
To his eternal credit, he didn't welch on the bet and paid up.

shale production and oil industry will face. I mean there are tens of thousands of jobs that probably went poof with that 25% drop last night in crude. Even without this price war shale would be hurting from the virus decreasing demand. But I still don't see the logic in what OPEC did (or didn't do).

There have been oil booms and busts throughout our history. this is the next one, not the first one nor the last one.

So far, having them manage it is the best thing I've ever done. I have no doubt had i still been attempting to manage, I probably would have run it out of money.
