Wherever there is money, lawyers and agents will be sniffing like hound dogs in heat.

He's a former Div 1 football player and is currently a licensed NFLPA agent.
The gist of his interview, as I took it was, eventually the courts will rule that the players are employees. (Universities will fight it in court, but the courts will rule that no matter how much you insist they aren't employees they meet all the legal definitions of an employee - if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck....)
He said that the end situation will be employees, unions, collective bargaining.
We all know that is where we are heading. Just wish the universities would quit fighting it and make the trip smoother and shorter.

1500 of 2000 NIL deals have been approved....
5 0 0 deals are questionable???
That's a LOT of cheaters, or vague definition of requirements... Fix It!

There has to be rules. We live with rules in every facet of our lives but some act like college players should have no rules in how they get paid. That isn't life and just like the reason for rules we have them because ppl cheat. If everyone was moral and honest we wouldn't need rules but unfortunately we are a world of whatever it takes to get ME ahead/rich. The Supreme Court is going to have to put guidelines in the mess they caused. There was a reason why the NCAA had strict guideline on athletes earming money. It was bc of dishonest immoral cheats. I know ppl don't believe they can lose an ounce of fandom when it comes to college football but it's just not true. They believe there isn't a ceiling to popularity which is why all these leagues push our sports into foreign lands. It's all about more money. Unfortunately in the seek of more money they'll co.e to find it will cost them money. Just my opinion.

All this further proves that the European sports club model is best. Universities and sports should never mix outside of a college club sport where scholarships are not involved and the sport is played for fun. All professional/paid sports should be organized within a professional club. America screwed it up to start with and now it’s being fixed. I don’t know why people are grasping so hard on old traditions of “played for the love of the game and all the purity…” when the players have deserved to be paid for decades. No one played football at Clemson or Georgia or Alabama for academics. It was to play football. Period. They got a free education when what they really wanted was money. You can get an education after sports ends. It always ends.

Again, the House settlement did not address the core legal issue of antitrust and is really just a temporary stay of execution while other cases proceed through federal court. The CSC, which is the focus of the news article, is doomed from the start and will not hold water in court once challenged.

NCAA should list salary caps for amateur status. Non-amatuer cannot participate . I honestly think it's simple, but I beginning to think that the NCAA and the schools are getting kickbacks from each deal. Kind of like a service fee?
