The sun rises over Tiger town.
After a rainy summer it is hot. Hot and humid with a high of 87 degrees on August 30th. It's the 35th Saturday of the year and the first Saturday that the Tigers will play football to start to 2025 season.
The tailgate scene is unmatched this weekend: LSU is in town. The Geaux Tiger faithful rolls DEEP - greatly stimulating the local economy.
Everyone is excited - many are nervous. The food and festivities are had by folks in dresses and polos and jerseys and button downs. All in anticipation of the 7:30 ball game.
We walk in and find our way to our seats - there haven't been this many people at a home opener since we hosted UGA in '13.
And then: the vans leave, the boys run down the hill, and the ball kicks off!

It was only 83, but dang that's one of the hottest games I can remember in Death Valley.
Clemson Texas AM was 94 in 2019. That one was brutal, but it's weird hot hot the UGA game felt.

I was there in 2019. It was bad.
But in all honesty, should be in the low 80s at night. Maybe we catch that Faux Fall that time of year and get lucky with some 70s
