knowing what we now know... that

May 12, 2012, 10:50 PM

#1 ACC negotiated to keep tier 3 rights for their basketball schools but give them up for their football schools which essentially gives all the traditional basketball schools an enormous financial advantage. maybe they could only keep one and looks like basketball is king..

#2. Adding Pitt and Syracuse sends a definite statement that the ACC wants to be a basketball conference.

#3. 17 million per year per team is less than the big12 big 10 sec and pac 12, only more than the big least. Of course UNC and Duke can subsidize that with tier 3 basketball rights.

#4. In the big 12 Clemson would make roughly an estimated 10 million more a year, thus increasing the ability to build facilities and have the best program money can buy. Why do you think USC, Arkansas and others who actually have the money and care about football are able to get better?

I understand Walt Deptula and his point of view of the path of least resistance. He is a pus*y. Take 10 mill more a year pay all of our coaches and build any facility you want. put the dang oculous up there.

because when FSU leaves, and they are going to leave, we will be the only school in this conference who has the desire AND tradition to be called a traditional football school and we alone wont be able to carry that banner for a weak conference who only cares about basketball.
