Very interesting article about how IRS/SSA is failing our kids. We've talked about this before on here, but it's a topic worth bringing up again because before reading about the issue with child identity theft I never thought it was something to worry about. But if you have kids, take action sooner rather than later to lock down their credit files, in addition to doing the same for yourself.

Know of one situation where kid/parents didn’t know until credit report came back for college financial reports and it basically kept the kid from going to school for a year while they worked it all out.

SSA could also round up all illegals, and a bunch of other criminals, easily. But they're content to have 37 people paying SS taxes on one number..........arrrrrgh.
