Kelly Bryant moving out?

I've heard rumors about Kelly Bryant moving out to receiver. Kinda makes sense with Israel coming back and Cooper coming in. Anybody hearing that?

I agree. Besides, we are very solid at WR.

Don't know but he's such an athlete yet

From what I've seen I don't see him making a professional qb. I think w r might be a fit for him. Would be interesting to see. And I do think we'll see at least one qb transfer in the next 18 months.

He's Electric on the open field and if WATSON is healthy, he's going to spend another year in mop up duty. Then in 2017 he'll have two more 4 star and a 5 star to compete with. WR is the only position he can play at the next level.

According to Walt, Kelly Bryant will be better than Deshaun Watson.

I will be surprised we ever have another QB as good a Watson

I certainly expect we will have some very good ones, but Watson is just a sophomore and is already probably the best QB we have ever had.

I dont think he'll move to WR
Jan 13, 2016, 5:02 PM

I don't see him getting much playing time over the WRs we already have. I know he won't get much PT until Watson leaves but i would really like to see ScElliot put some packages for him like option plays or just try to get him in the open field, the kid has some serious speed

With his raw talent and speed he could potentially be as good as Martavius.

After next year we lose Scott and Williams and who knows if Cain will work out. Just hard to imagine a player with that size and speed riding the pine.

Makes zero sense to move him to WR unless he and the staff figures his best position in the pros is WR. I mean, Williams, Scott, Hopper, Cain, McCloud, Powell, Bell, Thompson, Renfrow, Chase all at that position. Who knows though. Would be interesting for sure.

Someone I work with said that Kelly told his son, that he thought he was better than Watson, and he now wish's he hadn't come to Clemson. I don't know if this is true, but would not surprise me.

I think moving him to reciever would be brilliant. Kinda use him like scott. Could you imagine Bryant running jet sweeps.

I don't think it would be a terrible idea

To cross training him. Let him be the primary backup at QB. Also train him as a wideout. I'm sure he is already familiar with the route tree. He would just need to work of his hands and running his routs. He could be used as a Swiss army knife. QB, wr, kick returner. He could also actually line up as an h back. There he could take hand off take snaps and pass as well as recieve. Wouldn't be the worst idea ever.

I don't believe this. I think Kelly Bryant will be the #2 QB this year and he will get some quality time as QB.

Need to see how he and Zerrick Cooper compete for #2 QB

behind Watson next season.
If Cooper were to win the back-up job, I could see Kelly Bryant being athletic enough to play a lot of other positions.
At Clemson, we've had several big fast QBs transition to the defensive side of the ball ... Patrick Sapp, Andy Headen, Dexter McLeon, and Terrance Mack come to mind.

with what we have coming in next year, we will be stacked. It would be a shame to keep an athlete like that off the field. I really have no idea where he fits in right now, but to me Cooper seems like a much better passer coming out of HS.
