Spurrier just said on his call in show that they got lucky

against UGA.
Said who would've thought one of the best kickers in the league would miss 2 easy FGs.
Said who would've thought on 1st and goal that they would pass and then QB have an intentional grounding.
Said it's funny how we used to be unlucky but now we're lucky in Williams Brice.
Then said, "We're still not a good football team, and maybe we can play better against Vandy."
It's just funny how he refuses to give them credit.

Better than proclaiming them "a national championship team" like Dabo would have.
Have to admit that's one thing I hate about Dabo. He yaps too much and pumps way too much sunshine. Everything is just great, excellent, he's always pleased.

No I just think he should tell it how it is instead of making excuses. That's our job as fans.

2 things ...
1. They did get lucky. 2. A shame how he discounts his team.

Keep them motivated to improve

They sure don't have laurels to rest on. The Defense has MILES to go to be "good" and the QB is pick prone. RBs are getting hit in the back field quite a bit and prone to injury. Lucky....yep. Could easy be 0-3. Everybody won't be as generous as UGA. Lot of toss up games coming up. They better have a horseshoe somewhere. I think he has it right.

Well Spurrier is right, i'm just glad he admits it. To have all the breaks and still hang on by 3. Long TD run called back on a weak holding call, the 2 miss fg's(one of which should have never been when you have that stable of back 1st and goal at the 4). They gave up 35 with 14-20 pts left on the table from GA. I mean a win is a win, but it wasn't a statement win by any means. I think that's what he's getting at.

It's just crazy he admits it. Most coaches would accentuate

the positives. NO chance Dabo would say that... or 90% of coaches across America. Most coaches are just very positive people.

They did play pretty bad on defense.

is key blown calls against ECU and UGA that turned the momentum of the game in Willy B.

To clarify

ECU gets hit with a delay of game penalty after what looked like a fumble or an ECU stop. Instead they draw a delay of game penalty for staying in the pile too long and the defender coming up with the ball. Later in the game and Scar defender makes a play, runs half way down the field and tosses the ball away...no flag.
Georgia gets hit with an intentional grounding penalty on a deflected pass. Then they get hit with 2 bad spots in a row on the last drive.
