The middle class man don't stand a chance. You work hard all your life and just because your house is paid for you have to pay for somebody that has 5 kids and no job.

There is the military, prisons, highways, courts, state subsidies, social security, and a billion other things too. But those arent as rewarding to think about. i prefer to think my taxes help poor children who's parents may be down on their luck, and maybe helping an old lady pay her heating bill so she doesnt freeze to death. Thats just me though

You better pay your property tax on that "paid for" house or you won't own it much longer. Fact is, it's not really "paid for".
Property tax is the most unfair tax there is IMO.

Reminds me of a buddy of mine....

He is paying for a house occupied by his three children, his unemployed ex-wife and her unemployed live-in boyfriend.
I'd have no problem paying child support for my children but I'd have to draw the line at paying for some deadbeat to boink my ex-wife.
The two have no plans to wed because they know that getting married ends the spousal support gravytrain.

Step 1: plant drugs when he picks his kids up. They probably already have drugs there, but more will not hurt (get gloves=no fingerprints)
Step 2: call the police and say that you smelled a "suspicious odor" at the house when you got there. Go ahead and say their eyes were bloodshot and glossy, but don't push it to far.
Step 3: go to court and petition for full custody
Step 4: get your kids
BOOM!!! no more alimony for her and her deadbeat boyfriend, problem solved.
PS: when hiding the drugs find a good hiding space, nothing to hard, or easy to find. I recommend excusing yourself to the bathroom and finding a spot there. Perhaps a medicine bottle? or in the back of the toilet?

don't pay sales tax anyway. Not only would the tax burden actually be less regressive, but America would benefit by creating a more competitive market with the elimination of corporate payroll taxes. America would actually become much more competitive in world markets.

By expanding the base

everybody ends-up paying a lower rate.
People would be allowed to keep all of their paychecks and decide by their spending choices how much tax to pay. Basic necessities would be exempt.

What do you consider "basic necessities"?
However, a sales tax is always going to be, by definition, regressive. It's just how the definition of "regressive tax" works.

I didn't realize only "rich" people pay capital gains taxes.
I'm not rich, I earn about 80k per year. But, I also pay capital gains taxes on income that I have ALREADY played taxes on through the income tax.
There should be NO capital gains taxes.
