“Just one bad game”

Can we all admit that it isn’t just one bad game?

If you aren’t a smart person, and you evaluate performance by summary statistics, then sure, that’s what it looks like.

But the truth is that DJ has been telegraphing passes all year. He’s been making the wrong reads on zone reads all year. He’s been throwing the ball late all year.

We have struggled early in games several times this year because of these things. Syracuse was the first team we have faced that really threatened us, and they were helped by a fluke fumble return for a touchdown. Every other time, our defense has made up for our offense’s struggles.

But the point remains: it isn’t “just one bad game.” That just isn’t true.

DJ has had 3 bad games this year. GT, LA Tech (easily could have had 3 ints that game), and Cuse.

Then he played outstanding against wake and led the team to victory, played well vs NC State, had a solid outting vs BC, and did what was needed vs FSU.

So right now DJ has had 4 solid games and 3 bad ones imo. He's just not consistent yet.
