Big difference, Dabo had already been at Clemson as WR….

coach since 2003, and we were already recruiting good during the Bowden era. Freeze took over a team that has been terrible the past 3 seasons, and a team that has been a non factor on the national scene for the past 30 years. Also, don't forget Lane Kiffin's brother is on Ole Miss' staff.

and started to get a few good out of state players. The state of Mississippi doesn't produce the level of talent that SC does. Another difference, Dabo was already on the staff since 2003, and we had already been recruiting good for a while, when some jealous message board fans accused of us cheating after getting a few good out of state players.
One thing to keep in mind about Ole Miss, this past season was their Head Coach's first season their. You can compare what Freeze was taking over to what Tommy Bowden was coming into here. Actually Ole Miss, other than Eli Manning playing there, has largely been a non factor on the national scene for 30 years. When Bowden took the job here, we had only been a non factor on the national scene for 8 years. Was Tommy Bowden getting this much interest from 5 star players after his first season? No.
It's very suspicious when a program that has been below average for a very long time, all of sudden is getting interest and commits from five star players in a Head Coach's first season.

Why anyone would want to go to Mississippi for anything is beyond me! When I travel that way, I drive around that state.
