Williams been on the field at the same time much if at all this year? Might be a decent plan to stretch the field to open up the run game for Wayne and Deshaun. Just wunderin.

I like your thought about two guys going long on either side of the field, a) it doesn't fit with Clemson's offense and b) it would be even tougher against Alabama's 2 high safety look. Clemson has plays set up, some running deep, some over the middle, outs, slants, pick routes, etc. Sometimes, an inside slant is designed to move the safety away from the deep route down the sideline. The staff has evaluated and even tried pairing Williams and Cain, but decided that keeping their positions set works better.

Yes, rarely though. We lined Cain up in the slot with Williams on the outside in the 1st Qtr against Pitt and missed a deep post. I think we'll see the same play tonight.
