Just tell them during the Q & A that you think the defendant is guilty. You’ll be dropped like a hot potato.

If you’ve ever had a crime committed against you or family member this will most likely keep you off a jury.
However, If you ever get called for Magistrate Jury duty be sure to go. This is where all the action will be.

You're odds get better of not being picked

The bigger the pool is, obviously. The downside is if they pick several panels for backup trials, you're odds go the other way. If, you have a child under seven, and you have no daycare option, your odds get better. I've spent years in Circuit Court, I've seen a lot of strange things that work. Good luck!

My answer would be that I can’t make an unbiased decision because I believe that if the person was not guilty the solicitor would not be prosecuting them. For me, that’s the truth. A person would have to prove themselves innocent for me to vote not guilty.

Make sure the selection is not for a grand jury, if it is, what I am about to tell you will guarantee you get selected. if its not a grand jury this works every time…
If you make it far enough where the legal councils ask questions,, make sure you have STRONG opinions on the conservative side, for example: you can’t stand illegal immigrants, you support the police no matter what, they have the right to stop someone on thecolor of their skin, if the crime includes children, state that any crime against kids should be deal;t with the death penalty etc… Crimes of domestic violence sicken you and anyone hitting a woman or their spouse should be locked away, and if they ask if you beleive in gun rights, same stuff, yes everyone should have a gun, but if you commit a crime with it or if you use drugs or drink with it, you should go to prison for life…
I guarantee the defense will use one of their exclusions on you especially if their client is a person of color, etc…
Like i said though, if you are potentially being seated for a grand jury, then the prosecutier will 100% want you on and there is no defense attorney for grand jury selection to kick you off, as you would be the exact person they want on the grand jury….

Tell them you’ve had sexual relations with the judge’s wife. That usually works for me.

I actually had to go a few weeks ago. Sat there from 9:00 to 12:15. Was called into the lobby with about 25 others and dismissed. Shortest Jury Duty stint of my life! I did use my Right Guard, so it wasn't me.

I had to fill out a form prior to selection. I stated that I did not believe in the death penalty and I did not think that drug use was a crime. True, and I was sent a letter saying they would remove me from the jury pool.
