Yes Sir, well played. Happy for Brad. Every Clemson fan is proud of our basketball success of late.
This article, as well as the first words from Brad concerning this topic should be: "Thank you Dabo, without your success, none of this would have ever been possible ".
I mean, who knows what our bball history would have looked like had the administration given Bill Foster the support, resources, and patience that Brad's been given. Imo, that's one thing that does rub fans the wrong way.

Bro - i knew Bowden was a bust in season 2. You have no idea what you are talking about. Pointing out that you make arguments that are not credible does not mean I’m defending the other side. Further, I have specifically refused to say that because it isn’t true. Bowden should have been let go much sooner. The fact that we stumbled into the success we did with Dabo doesn’t negate that. And Brownell should have been moved on from long ago also.

Tommy couldn't win his division coaching at a football school during a time when FSU wasn't even relevant. He couldn't get over the giant hurdle of BC and Wake Forest.

And fully stand by my statement. Yes they were still awesome during Tommy's first two seasons. They eroded very quickly after that and were a shell of their former self by the time the league went to divisions in 2005. The only FSU team post-2000 that i would say was anything close to great was their 2003 team. They were hardly some insurmountable hurdle preventing Tommy from winning the division/league in those other years. Tommy couldn't get over the hump because he kept losing games to BC, Wake Forest, Maryland, GT, etc.

I think we should call it the last 3 years. We finished 3rd in the ACC and NC State went instead of us despite us beating them 3 times by an average of more than 20 points.

We had NC State's number that year for sure, but they had a better season unfortunately. We shot ourselves in the foot against some lousy teams we had no business losing to, nobody had us predicted to make the tourney outside of CU staffers and homers, and as a #1 seed lost in the first round of the NIT, at home. Less of that, more of these last two seasons thank you very much.

Ii love this, if it happens…. Brad is doing a lot with a tough situation! This is a football and baseball area, so to compete with the Duke and UNC’s is really difficult!!!
At the same time, he hasn’t won a championship, so he shouldn’t be paid at that level either…. But I’m a big fan and hope a deal gets done for CU. I just feel like IU will pay much more since it’s their number one sport…. Let’s see

I love it. Brownell has always been a great coach, getting the most from his players, but he has struggled with recruiting. Now he is hitting his stride, better on the recruiting trail and doing great with the portal. I think the interest from Indiana was real, and it helped us see what a good coach we have. He could be with us for many more years and help Clemson finally become a consistently good basketball program. Now, go win one for Brownell!

The facts that he is now the senior coach in the ACC AND the portal put Brad near the top when it comes to getting talent. Coaching them should be pretty easy, especially since CBB has been at it for so long. I'd like to think when he speaks, the players listen.
