it's really funny that everyone always states Oregon has everything a coach could want for a long term deal..... yet no one has won it all or stays to do so. It is a cool town, pretty countryside and rabid fans..... yet nothing.

Have a personal, family friend who was a coach with the football program twice. He loved it there and it was beautiful. They have the right coach to make it and in an easy conference now. haha only have to win those couple games and not lose to the overrated ones.

I don't really know Lannings background, but I say this, the coach that DOES win a National Title at Oregon will be a legend like Davo is for us. At Alabama, it's Title or bust, and then keep winning.

Hasn’t it become title or bust for us? Then keep winning? I’d say yes. I’ve come to expect CFP contention every year.

If I were Dabo would I leave? His family has more Clemson degrees than Alabama degrees. Home is a great place to visit. Not a great place to stay. Yet, there’s no place like home. It would be hard. If I were Alabama head coach (reverse situation) and Clemson came calling. I’d be coming home to Clemson.

With their facilities and money it’s strange they can’t get over the hump. It’s tough for a lot of teams not named Bama. Those that have won 2 in the Saban era should feel an extra sense of pride in that accomplishment.

hard to get players to go Eugene - aren't a lot quality players in the region and a lot of players don't want to go that far from home.
