Not defending Trump at all

Mar 2, 2022, 11:59 AM

But Bolton has been wrong on literally every important international issue for a generation now. Why do people keep hiring him?!? And he has some stones to mock anyone’s intelligence after the freezing cold takes he’s had.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Is he wrong about Trump? Trump hired him and they worked

Mar 2, 2022, 12:25 PM

pretty closely together behind closed doors, so one would think he has some insight into Trump.

2024 orange level memberbadge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

He might be?

Mar 2, 2022, 12:33 PM

He has no ground to stand on bc he’s been wrong so much, so why would anyone put any weight behind his claims? And why would he feel so confident after being so bad at his job for years and years? Trump was dumb to hire him. And anyone who puts weight into what he says is making a mistake.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I see. You said you weren't defending Trump, but in fact

Mar 2, 2022, 12:40 PM

you were.

By saying he was dumb to hire Bolton? What a great defense. Why is it so hard to believe someone would hate both sides?

Here's the fact not recognized by most 'regular' Democrats (meaning those who are not involved with the Democrat party) and also not recognized by most Republicans PRIOR TO Trump winning the presidency in 2016:

Trump was (and to a large degree still is) an outsider to the federal bureaucracy and those who work in the various Gov't departments. People in DJT's campaign who knew more about the bureaucracy than did he were frequently not "pro-Trump" ... they were pro-themselves. These bureaucrats were comfortable with the G.W.Bush and M.Romney and L.Graham republicans; these some bureaucrats knew that their big name patrons HATED DJT for his potential to disrupt their crony capitalist money-making ventures. In this, the frequently described 'deep state' Republicans had much more in common with the Democrats (who had embraced crony capitalism since Bill Clinton led the Democrats to that lucrative means of politics).

Bolton is a deep state Republican ... you may recall him being front-and-center during the 2000 presidential election (i.e., the hanging-chad recount down in FL). Bolton (along with GWB and #### Cheney ... and Liz Cheney) were shizzed when DJT came in and unexpectedly ended the 3 generation Bush political dynasty.

Bolton, just like GWB, will say ANYTHING and side with ANYONE who they perceive as 'enemies' of DJT.

DJT learned the hard way (from the specious 'advice' from republicans close to his campaign) that DJT had invited people who hated him, and would conflate anything that they could into a perjorative shot at DJT. John Bolton, as National Security Advisor for DJT, was just one of many such terrible people surrounding DJT.

(*) Funny how the Democrats appear to have fallen in love with John Bolton ... the architect of G.W.Bush's 2003 invasion of Iraq. But that's another topic for another time.

I certainly don't love Bolton, never have. I just thought it

Mar 2, 2022, 4:55 PM

was funny. Trump was pretty much just a blowhard and not equipped mentally to lead our nation. I think that's pretty evident. And to be clear, people like Mitt Romney, John McCain, Ben Sasse, Paul Ryan disliked Trump because he was just a terrible human being and an embarrassment to our nation. The slap in the face to POWs, the personal remarks about other candidates' wives, just a huge POS.

I'm pretty middle of the road and supported the Iraqi invasion of 2003 as most liberals did also.

No, most of them hated Trump because he’s a narcissistic a$$hole,

Mar 2, 2022, 8:49 PM [ in reply to Re: Is he wrong about Trump? Trump hired backstabbers ]

not because he upset some sort of self-beneficial status quo. Trumpies love to say everyone hated him because he was an outsider, but in reality people hate him because he’s a lying POS. Pretty simple honestly.

Yet he is 100 percent right about Trump. We do know that.

He has

Mar 2, 2022, 1:11 PM [ in reply to Not defending Trump at all ]

But he's a smart man. I don't think he's a good man. But a bad man knows another bad man and will usually throw him under the bus.

They’re both liars, too, though. Can’t trust anything Trump or Bolton says.

Ah yes, John Bolton, there’s a reliable source.

Mar 2, 2022, 12:31 PM

He is still butthurt that Trump cut off his kickback slush fund from the defense contractors by not letting him start a war in Syria.

That could be accurate. That said, he is also pointing out what an idiot anyone who supports Trump is at this point. Only the biggest morons on Earth still don't know what a moron Trump is.

Our country was frickin rocking under him. ahhh, the good ole days.

meanwhile we have like 25% inflation and our President still hasnt done jack to at least try to tone the inflation down. But he still is pushing BBB which would make it even worse.

But lets TDS some more.

Yall obsess more over a former Pres than the one that is in charge and ####### this country up.

Oh, the irony! So tell me, Einstein, is Brandon the biggest, most monumental MORON in American history? Keep in mind that Trump is more popular right now. Can't wait for your well thought out, learned, 'objective' opinion. You're 'always' so on the money? LMAO
