so, he will get that money PLUS sign a new contract with another team and be paid in addition to that money ??

I mean, what a great deal. While you want to succeed, the obvious gain here is now he can literally do nothing if he wants to do nothing and is going to get $75Mil

This makes 0 sense to anyone involved, except Jimbo.

Contract buyouts, such a silly idea. If you fail at your job so miserably that the institution decides to pay you that much money to walk, must be pretty bad situation.

He is certainly not to blame for the contract but did he ever stink it up there. As much as I dislike him, I really did think he could possibly get A&M to a much better place than he is leaving them.

The real question is why would someone want to work after getting paid that? I only go to work for the money. There isn't another reason of why I would be there.

75 mil.... Yeah I'd say that was enough. I'd retire off of 2 mil right now. I wonder if Jimbo will help me out with a couple.

Sorry that’s not how contracts work and never have. You agreed to pay me x amount for x amount of time. You shouldn’t be able to tear that up just because you choose to.

He'll be working for Saban in a year two. isn't that how Saban does it? finds a fired head coach to help him out a couple years and rehabilitates him so he can go somewhere else to coach again.

Schools have to just say "NO" to these ridiculous contracts... we must move back to a more merit-based system... you win big and you get paid big... none of this guaranteed crap... you lose big and you don't get any money... you get fired.
