Good gussy I haven't had a day like this in a while.
Started this morning with a lady not waving to me in the neighborhood. FedEx driver decided to try to back up my insanely sloped driveway, then decided for the next three feet it must have been somebody else's metal step-up grinding the concrete. Narrowly avoided getting t-boned at an intersection because some twat wanted to gun it on a left turn after her light turned red, while I had the munchkin in the backseat. Lost an otocinclus catfish. RIP good buddy. BBQ place ran out of ribs after I already ordered. Hit a cat on the way back, after it darted out across the road. Two minutes later, another ########## turns left on red in front of me because apparently waiting for the next light cycle is not on people's to-do list today. Got home to a customer email being really twatwaffly. Went to dunk on Obed, but realized too late he was making a joke, thus making me the idiot.
But it wasn't all bad.
Lowe's delivered super early, so I was able to get the driver to drop the load at the top of the driveway instead of in the culdesac, which would have sucked super hard. It was also before Munckin went to school so he got to see the dude do the forklift, which was a fun site. Driver was also super nice, so left him a good review on the survey.
Made a ton of progress on the new sandbox today, and the build went better than expected, including digging a pretty good footer to level it out. (I'm not handy at all, so any measure of success in building is a big win for me.)
I got to yell at the FedEx driver, which for a very non-confrontational person, is good feeling to know that I can do it. I also switched gears back to civil after the dude took his licks and showed real contrition, so we parted on good human terms, which made me feel good too.
Wife is still a dime-piece, and my son is awesome, and everybody is happy.
OH, and the lawn mower got delivered today, in mint condition. So the saga is finally over.

"Narrowly avoided getting t-boned at an intersection"
I would put this in the positive section.
