Large photo printing wreck-o-mendations

We're looking to have some photos enlarged, maybe as large as 30x42 and I see there's a million websites that offer the service. Just wondering if anyone has done this and they were pleased with the quality of images. Thanks.

Converted to a transparency, and then project it onto the wall as large as you want, and then just use the projection as a template to repaint the picture.

Our local photographers had contracts with big printer companies to convert photos to large canvas art. I can't remember the names as we're years away from the baby/family pics.

either go through a local photog or just go to one of the big online sources that has good reviews. They do this stuff all day long so their equipment, materials etc are dialed in for this purpose.
