How cool would it have been if Harold Jamison had stepped back and bricked a 3 instead of passing to Buckner? We are so much more exciting to watch now.

Funny thing about that game…
Most people don’t realize Clemson ended “the streak” that night.

Beat NC in NC.

Knocking UNC out of the tournament in Greensboro is way harder than beating them in chapel hill.

it, but...this was one of the last ACC tournaments that really meant something. Tickets were still a high value item. EVERY fan went to every game the first day. The place was packed. Anyway, we were in the endzone and the shot clock was on top of the backboard. In our seats, we could barely see the rim on the other end,but the two vacant seats beside us....BAD! I slipped over and sat in one of them, and the black shot clock on our end completely blocked out the entire backboard and rim on the other end. I told my dad that whoever had those seats for the tournament was screwed. Well sirs, we were in the DUKE section and just prior to the tip off of the Duke game, these two old codgers who looked just like Waldorf and Statler from the Muppett show came in, drinks, popcorn, peanut M&Ms and sat down. It took them a minute or two to get settled and then they looked up. The Duke guy beside me just looked over to his buddy and said,"We're F....."..........One of the best laughs my dad and I ever had. We were rolling for a few minutes.
