Conferences assign teams to pods and the first few games determine the pod winners. Pods' winners play in regular season which might be considered the 1st round of the playoff.

Each conference decides the rankings within their conference and the highest ranked team gets the home game. Each conference produces it's winner on the field. The CCGs produce the playoff teams.

That eliminates the PO committee, the media bias and fans can take up their grievances with their conference leaders.

What I like most is that every game counts and no opinion matters; the better teams host many of the games which generates money for the better teams' schools.

It has some drawbacks as do all things in life. Teams get better as the season goes along and some lost key players. Those who don't have depth on the bench are soon to eliminated.

The issue of an odd number of conferences which might lead to a bye is a problem.

Do you see other issues with this system?

We've got to find a way to make it about winning on the field, as much as possible, and eliminate the media/$$$ driven influence (which is where we are now).

I would keep in somewhat similar to where it is now, but the changes would be that there would be 16 teams and no BYE's.

Byes are an issue and where we're going expanding the playoff every few years.

It won't be long until academics is set aside for $$$. The playoff needs to start earlier not end later. This will snowball and look like pro ball before it's over.
