Why do you think our athletes are not earning NIL money? Of course they are.

The big difference is that we don't pay NIL up front.

I think the upcoming possiblity of revshare is really going to help us - will truly allow us to compete at a high level on that front.
Look when we're only raising $3.5m in NIL compared to others it's super hard to attract and retain talent.
Plain and simple.

Do you understand the difference between revenue sharing and NIL?

Revenue sharing is projected to be equal between all the FBS schools.
It won't affect NIL at all.

That's right and the programs with the most money will have the most talent. Larger schools and their alumni base, combined with proximity to major metropolitan areas, will always have an advantage over everybody else. Clemson needs to find a gold mine on campus.

Have you watched this kid play? If healthy, he projects to be a possible top 5 draft pick in two more years. I recall when they had Clowney; he's that with better bend and a much better motor. He's an absolute freak of nature at his size with that athletic ability. Those rare position players are worth it, and word is that SC has had a major bump up (within the SEC) in terms of NIL resources lately.

The bigger issue is that Dabo generally doesn't engage in an NIL bidding war with other schools to attract players. As I understand it, he typically won't discuss NIL (i.e., specific amounts) until they're enrolled and on campus.

This is such BS. Not what you’re saying, but what he is doing. It’s gross he lines his pockets with 11/12 million a year and doesn’t want to pay these studs what they are going to make anyway.
That loss to Louisville at home has me feeling hopeless in regards to the future of the program of Mr. Dabo. I sort of think many others have been hit with the harsh reality as well.
How much longer can Clemson stay competitive on the field doing it his way? How long until the cupboards are bare?

Unfortunately, Clemson does not have the economic base to compete with much larger and wealthier universities in the NIL marketplace.

Clemson is #17 in NIL according to both ON3 and 24/7 Sports. #17 out of 131 non military FBS schools. It's not Oregon, Texas, or Ohio State money, but it's definitely competitive.
It will likely be more so next year when the rosters expand to 105 and revenue sharing starts.
