Going along to get along with those who want to steal your freedom and your soul must not be allowed. Dabo’s refusal to go along to get along means he will always be in control of his soul and freedom.
I personally believe that to follow a pied piper who professes to know the unknowable is either delusional, afraid of his own thinking or is the charlatan pied piper who plays his “ you must go along to get along with me and my followers group”. What we think is who we are. The use of the scientific method to test the truth of our thoughts is essential to avoid being deluded. So, while my beliefs are different from Dabo’s, my unwillingness to go along to get along at the cost of freedom and soul is the same.

I posted this yesterday and Ship’s comment make me believe it even more :
Go back and read or listen to the comments from many of our recruits and current players that mention God and their faith and the role faith has in the Clemson program as part of the reason they chose Clemson. Dabo is reinforcing this position with the players that share similar beliefs. Have you heard an interview with Cade where he didn’t mention God? He is recruiting players that buy in.

I don't believe in God, but I don't see anything wrong with what Dabo said. He is just saying it's a positive environment.

theory and then he got into the beginning of the big bang. He said they have gotten the math to work out exactly how large the universe was 1 to the 33rd power of a second. We are talking planc time now. And for this discussion, there are more plancs in one second than there have been seconds since the beginning of time. Anyway, he said,if they can get the math to work out to 1 to the 39th power of a second, they will be able to prove there was nothing, and then there waa everything...
Genesis 1:1-2, John 1:1-2 In the beginning when God created the heavens and the earth, 2 the earth was a formless void and darkness covered the face of the deep, while a wind from God swept over the face of the waters. 3 Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.

That wasn't written to be science book material. It's perfectly OK to move past the WHYs that Genesis 1 and 2 talk about to get into the science of the HOWs found outside of scripture.

been able to accomplish: the creation of life itself. Nor do I believe either will ever be able to do so, for I believe that to be only within the realm of God's power, i.e. something He has reserved for Himself.
That, therefore, is the great reckoning, as I see it.

Matthew 7:13-14 The Narrow and Wide Gates “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

The criticism I’ve heard of this latest Dabo remark is that it was a strange time to say it, and an odd way of saying it.
I know some people want to turn it into Christian persecution and Dabo being criticized for his beliefs, but that’s not what this seems to be.
But I know some people look for reasons to be offended, and this situation is no exception.

Without an uproar or outrage at any time they wish. Those who take issue with it are the ones with the problem. To allow a person of faith saying that to trigger you into protest says more about you than the person who triggered you. (Not talking about “you” personally JK)
I find it so gratifying that Dabo and his faith elicits such crazy hate reactions. ??

Why the hate? My beliefs below simplified
Dec 22, 2022, 5:51 PM

There is really only one enemy- satan.
He is the father of lies and the source of hate.
Gotta give the evil one some credit - he better than pretty much all other beings KNOWS who his true enemy is - our God.
Hence, why Christians and their beliefs will always be attacked by “the world” i.e. satan. Whereas most other belief systems are excluded from the hate and attacks. They are not satan’s enemy, so no need for him to try to destroy them.
Just some observations with contemplating.
Go Tigers! Go Dabo and go God!

Every battle is between good and evil. We all have our sin nature, but by grace we are forgiven, if we are believers. Believe me, satan can make crap look real good and inviting.

I don’t even understand what he meant by his statement.
Number one he didn’t say which god. Of course we all know it’s the Christian god, the god of the Bible.
Well the god of the Bible says not to associate much with non believers.
In fact Jesus said unbelief is the worst sin of all.
So if Dabo truly has built a program based on the Bible and he is not tolerant of other beliefs and he is attempting to sway people from their beliefs, that is a problem.
All that being said, I think Dabo is harmless and was simply pandering to his conservative Christian fanbase and looking for some attention from the media.

John 1:1-4
"1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it."

There are those players and parents that want their kids to be mentored in a Christian atmosphere and are not just looking for a few extra few bucks. I support Dabo and his willingness to not be intimidated by the non believers.

Non-religious Non-Christian here
Dec 23, 2022, 10:46 AM
|
|
I understand why some people are uncomfortable with Dabo's comments, especially being that Clemson is a public university. I get it. His comments make me uneasy sometimes because his religious tradition and mine are not the same. But he has never attempted to make me or any other fan part of his religion (something that a couple of users on this board cannot say). He has never proselytized me or any other fan that I know of.
Dabo has said many times that the program is led by faith--not that it requires faith. Whether the program exerts direct or indirect pressure on players to be Christian, much less witnessing Christians, I don't really know and don't really think it's particularly relevant.
Does Dabo: (a) draw both OUTstanding and UPstanding talent to the program? (b) continue to put forward championship-caliber teams? (c) graduate his kids? (d) represent Clemson in a positive manner? (e) refuse to compromise his principles for short-term success?
To me, the answer to all of those is a resounding yes. If his commitment to faith and a "certain kind of player" means that our players are all upstanding, kind, generous young men, that matters to me. I certainly support that it weeds out players carrying bad juju. Every once in a while someone slips through (Swag Kelly comes to mind) but the program is quick either to get them back in line, or remove them.
