The judge has ruled against him again and again. Finally the man loses his temper and mutters, “What a moron!”
The judge flushes with anger and shouts, “$450 fine!”
“$450?!” the man sputters. “I said three words.”
“Those three words were contempt of court,” the judge says, “and that’s a $450 fine.”
The man gets out his wallet and starts looking through it. Thinking there’s been a misunderstanding, the judge calms down a bit and says, “you don’t have to pay now.”
The man says, “No, I’m just checking to see if I can afford two more words.”
We should start a Tigernet fund so Dabo can continue
Right now officials can rule the entire game without accountability. They can go into hiding and never justify reasoning why they made that particular decision.
I know not every controversial call can be questioned, otherwise we would have nothing but questions the entire season.
But if after the game it is deemed by higher ups (NCAA head of officiating) that the call was wrong or mishandled, they should publicly acknowledge the mistake and announce what steps will be taken to make sure it won't happen again.
As of now they can make the call and nothing is ever said in hopes it will fizzle out like a bad fart.
Heaven forbid officials make bets on games they are a part of, but if it is found out, does the public hear about it....NO
Officials seem to have a free pass from being accountable and that needs to change.
One good thing I have seen this season is the ACC is letting the TV viewers hear what the review room is saying so we actually get see how they come to the conclusion in the reviewed call. Why not let the everyone hear what is being discussed in their conversation huddle?
