Turkey Bacon

I believe it was ryanadidas who told me if I ever saw what a turkey processing facility looks like, I'd steer clear of eating processed turkey products.
Now turkey bacon and ground turkey tastes pretty good, but recently I've noticed that there's a thick film of what I can only surmise to be bile/slime on my cast iron skillet when I get done cooking it. No other meat leaves "fat" or other left-behinds like this. I wonder if this is the #### that causes cancer?
What are your thoughts on processed turkey from the meat section? Is it better or worse to eat this mess than deli turkey?

Why turkey? I only buy whole ones after holidays and roast them, then break em down into soup. I think it's a pretty rank meat compared to the other supermarket options.

week when get sick of stuffing my face with chicken, eggs and lean beef. It's just a change of pace, I've noticed that ground turkey specifically just tastes like whatever you cook it with so it's super versatile.
I love eating breakfast for dinner and helps me do that without ingesting an extra 30-40 grams of useless fats unnecessarily.
At the risk of sounding like APM, I'm trying to watch my figure.

We eat a lot of the ground turkey and I haven't really noticed it. My wife buys that top shelf all natural/organic/massage the animal before slaughtering it meat.

But we don't use a cast iron for it either. Just olive oil in the ceramic skillet.

I don't mind the taste but the smell of ground turkey browning is unpleasant.***
