Its gotta sting to be a wolverine

To win a national championship and your coach immediately starts entertaining other jobs. Just think how much it would have sucked if Dabo dipped for the NFL after the 2016 natty. Loyalty to a school is a rarity in college football these days. We really are lucky to have Dabo and some stability in the program regardless if we are making the playoffs every year.

Dabo wasn't fleeing a cheating scandal...

To be fair, Harbaugh had some NFL success. Michigan had a long dry spell. I’m they will happily trade Harbaugh getting them a NC and leaving vs having stayed on the same path they had been on.

I agree, in a lot of ways I feel like Harbaugh stepped away from his NFL coaching career to come back and rescue his alma mater from a slide into irrelevance (see the Nebraska Cornhuskers) and now that he’s out them back on top he wants to go back to the NFL.

doesn't he do this every off season? why is this time different?***

He's been pretty straightforward about leaving for the NFL if he got a good offer. I don't think too many of their fans are surprised by this. The program was in bad shape when he took over. He resurrected it and won them a national championship when some Michigan fans thought they'd never win one again, so I can't imagine they're too upset with him. They're also high on their OC Sherrone Moore, who will most likely be the next head coach if/when Harbaugh takes an NFL job. I don't think it's fair to say that Harbaugh isn't loyal to Michigan. He just wants to win a Super Bowl.

Agreed, he went to Michigan and wanted to lead them to a national title, but I think he prefers the NFL and wants to win a Super Bowl while not having to deal with NCAA and current state of CFB.

with the chances. He got them a championship, so if he leaves I'm sure they'd say it's worth it.
