One thing is for certain. No one on T’Net knows what the future holds. In today’s world, everything is possible. Most options are possible. Very few are unlikely. It’s ALL on the table.
Dabo could resign. Clemson could fire him. Dabo could fire everyone. Dabo could fire no one. We could win the Natty next year. We could go winless next year. And everything in-between.

So PLEASE stop telling other posters they’re stupid for suggesting what might happen, because ANYTHING could happen. Even if we disagree, can we be kind and agreeably disagree? Im talking to myself as well.

He won’t quit and he won’t get fired so that’s off the table. But he’s gonna have to make some deep changes on this defense at the very least. Friends and family or whatever. Give Allen free rein and go to the free agent shed and buy football players.

Keep Riley throw away the Clemson Offense or bring in a top notch OC but give him full control Allen the jury is out im not impressed!

I think based on the last 3 years performance plus our weak recruiting that a "Natty" is off the table. Sure stranger things have probably happened and will happen so I might eat my words. I think our biggest challenge would be to be a ranked team by the end of the season. We surely will not be ranked to start the season merely as blowback from the embarrassment everyone had by prediciting we would be a top 5 team this season.

I agree with the having some respect for opinions up or down. Someone will get it right but only because there will be people predicting all the different scenarios. Those folks will crow like they are a genius, but we all know the truth. The truth is we are all just guessing.

My guess is look forward to another year of close matches that come down to missing just a few critical plays. We could end up bouncing back to 1 or two lossesor a total collapse from losing close games. Look at this season...

Lost to LSU by a touchdown
Struggled but beat Troy by 11
Lost to GT by 3
Lost to Syracuse by 13
Beat UNC by 28...but so did just about eveyone else as the were in total chaos
Handily beat BC because they really suck
Lost to SMU by 11
Lost to Duke by 1 point

Three games in there that were well within reach of winning. But we seem to not be able to hold it together when it counts, either will poor play or poor game calling.

To me the most disturbing loss was Syracuse.

Who do we compare ourselves to? I thting it is UNC. UNC struggled but they are getting nocitably better. They lost to California, but looked better. Then they lost to Virginia, but in OT. Next they had a solid win against Syracuse. A good bet to make on them is that they might in fact win out the season and finish better than us. That is what a turn around looks like. The question will be can our staff make a similar turnaround with inconsistent play from the team?
