My Dad is at the stage of aging where he just stops asking for advice and just buys stuff stupidly. He's one regression away from giving his life savings to a Nigerian scammer.
Bought an LG fridge like 4 years ago and it totally crapped out a few weeks ago....the Effing coolant lines developed a leak, and they run throughout the cabinet so it wasn't even worth trying to fix. Told him to look for a GE and sent him a one pager with all the American-made models.
Talking to him a day later, he told me he had gotten the new fridge. "oh great, which one did you get?". I just got the same model I had before.

Auto detection of low sugar/high alcohol. Pour and press. Ready to go in 15-30 minutes depending on the drink. Super easy clean-up. At first my wife rolled her eyes when I sent her the product link but she apparently read about coffee recipes which sold her on this for a bday gift.
But I am a slutshie, so this makes the transition from Disney -- a slutshie paradise -- to reality much, much easier.
