Alright enough distancing... I'm back! ?? Reading alot of Foreman threads

Here's my take and I follow recruiting hardcore more than most. Korey Foreman was committed to another school even before Clemson (think it was A&M) and did the same thing to them by de-committing. He was so committed that he even got a tiger tattooed on his arm. Ok so the kid loves Clemson. Then hits this virus. Korey is stuck in California and left to train with a coach /trainer who happened to be the dad of a player/commit for USC (the real one??). Which was in his ear along with his son saying " it's messed up Clemson won't let you visit man. You should dictate what you Wana do. Not Clemson. " So if anything I'm upset with those guys getting in his ear. They to me did more swaying instead of letting the kids follow his heart. Korey's parents arent really involved much with his recruiting as well. By the way his recruiting has gone all over the place it's evident. So my question is this:. Does Korey become oversign worthy and how high are the chances of someone leaving the program freeing up a scholarship?

Honestly who knows. In Dabo I trust. Obviously he’s an incredible talent but no one can measure the intangibles like Dabo. So if he still wants him on the team, so do I. I’m sure it’s a moot point. The last thing I read about Foreman is that his top 5 depended on if DEs committed to Clemson.

KJ Henry or Jordan Williams declaring early....

(not out of question for KJ at least) - or a transfer. - CDS won't oversign - and to be honest, if a spot comes open, I'd bet there's at least one standing in the way of Foreman.

KJ is a Clemson man an isn’t going anywhere, he redshirted so he could improve and be great at Clemson. He’ll be a sophomore this season, look for a breakout season. He’s been working hard right here in Clemmons, NC and has posted some workout pictures.
Corey Foreman will end up at The real usc. Corey’s boat sailed already, Dabo moved on. I believe we got another Winston-Salem guy yesterday who has a huge upside. 6’6” 230 and growing. He went to Winston-Salem prep to play basketball but found a new love he’s great at and he will end up being as good or better than Corey.

Your Korey Foreman take is spot on. Clemson has moved on. I went back and read an article from April where Foreman basically says Clemson will be in his new Top 5 IF some of the DE targets Clemson offered in the wake of his decommitment DIDN'T sign with Clemson. That's like breaking up with your girlfriend and saying you might get back with her eventually if she doesn't date anybody else for a year.
But, Clemson moved on quickly. Foreman is undoubtedly a talented guy. But, he's all kinds of messed up mentally. In his interview he was saying that he wanted to see how Clemson used Bresee because he thinks Bresee is more of a hybrid and should see some time at LB. Really? What other tips can your 17 year old brain offer up to us mortals?

Fluxus your GF example could not be more on point! That's exactly what it's like. The kid is extremely talented, and I know he loves clemson, but at the same time dabo handled this well. He told him up front I completely support you in whatever you want to do, just know that others want that position so think fast and do your due diligence. Korey seemed to like that. So no bridges burned. Long time from December so anything could happen

Yea that's what I was feeling too. Something tells me korey's recruitment will take many changes between now and signing day. I think he's wanting to enroll early! Can anyone elaborate on that for sure????

You remember when you were in the fifth grade and the teacher gave you a bucket, water, rag and said wash the blackboard? Anything left on the board was removed. I believe Foreman is no longer on Dabo's chalkboard!!

^^Dang man - you are old or from another country.
------- Edit: I was referring to the bucket, rag, and water. I never heard of anyone doing that, and I'm old myself.

Being over 50 in America today is like being from another country. Not all change is good.

top 10 player, decommitted to take visits ends up signing with us in the end...never really played and then transferred. So you never really know who you have until they suit up and start practice. He may be no different than the kid from Greensboro that committed yesterday. Love the potential of the 5 star guys but i'm starting to see a trend that not much separates these 5 stars from 4 stars. ITs usually just size that gets them over into 5 star land not necessarily ability or instincts. But i will say the offensive players, that are 5 stars, tend to be game changers on day one. Not all, but i'll take my chances on those guys..as long as they aren't troublemakers.

I think the previous poster's have pretty much summed it up.
Ask yourself this question: When was the last time Clemson signed a wishy-washy kid where it worked out well for anyone?
That plus Dabo's refusal to oversign players gives you all the insight you need into how likely it is that he ultimately ends up at Clemson.

I trust Coach V, Hall, and Bates on their evaluation of Dline talent. It's been great thus far. They must see something in this Patterson kid. He seems to have the tools to be a great one. Will take a couple years, but like Ferrell, Beasley , and A. Bryant a great player invests his time wisely on the field and off to make themselves better. I'm thankful we try to find smart hard working driven players and not settle.
