Clearly, Cards fans know their stuff and have been studying film. Our WRs are not deep and our DL is slow. Both will be our "weekness" whatever that means. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, they're from Kentucky, so I guess I should be impressed that they can even log onto the internet.

Image to say it but.....they sound like me and us 2-3 years ago. How are they going to react to 1-2 3 and outs? If we go up 7 and they go 3 and out, how does their defense respond on the road? When they are down 10-14 pts, how do their o linemen not false start with the weight of our noise. Unchartered territory if you ask me. Tight game u till the fourth. We win 31-23.

that our beloved tigers will be 1-2-1 after saturday. the first two were loses seeing as how we weren't impressive, so 0-2 to start. kinda iffy on counting sc state as win due to the flag football rules installed, so we'll call that a draw. i count the jackets as a win, although the 2nd half we failed, per usual, to impress. now this. this season has been a colossal failure. the birmingham bowl will be fun....this sucks

our DL being "relatively slow".
But let me explain: a couple of years ago our DL was this -
Vic Beasley, Grady Jarrett, Josh Watson, and Corey Crawford.
Last year our DL was Shaq Lawson, DJ Reader, Carlos Watkins, and Kevin Dodd.
This year: Clelin Ferrell, Carlos Watkins, Dexter Lawrence, and Christian Wilkins/Austin Bryant
Now do a comparison between the three:
Josh Watson (2014), Carlos Watkins (2015) and Carlos Watkins (2015) - basically a wash for quickness and speed, but if you want give the edge to Carlos (2016).
Grady Jarrett (2014), DJ Reader (2015) and Dexter Lawrence (2016) - Grady was by far both the smallest and the quickest. Dex is even bigger than DJ and slightly, but only slightly, faster than DJ. But neither has/had the first step that Grady has - that's why he's starting for the Falcons.
Corey Crawford (2014), Kevin Dodd (2015), and Wilkins/Bryant (2016) - again the 2016 line has a freak athlete FOR HIS SIZE in Wilkins, but the noticeably quicker of the three was Dodd in 2015.
Vic Beasley (2014), Shaq Lawson (2015) and Clelin Ferrell (2016) - again, Ferrell is a great athlete and reminds me of Dodd, but both Beasley and Lawson were demonstrably quicker and faster.
In 2016 we may have gotten two "freak athletes" FOR THEIR SIZE in Wilkins and Lawrence, and we may have two very good athletes in Ferrell and Watkins, but we have undoubtedly lost some "raw actual suddenness" that Grady Jarrett had and Vic Beasley had and Shaq Lawson had.
L Jackson is NOT going to be in a race BASED ON SIZE, he's simply going to be clocking fast as he can go.
Now, we have a great DL this year - they'll be great against the run and will provide good pass rush all told.
The question, however, this week is whether they'll have the "raw quickness" (and group discipline obviously) to catch Jackson....
