Does MS Beating Auburn Diminish Our Win Over Auburn?

MS scored 2 more points against Auburn than we, and held them to 9 points less than we. MS was no where near being a ranked team, yet beat Auburn by a better score both offensively and defensively. Does this diminish our win over Auburn? Did we place more on the team's potential after the Auburn win than we should have?

I think Auburn will struggle this year with their freshman QB..

Doesn't change it at all in my opinion. It was the first game of the season against a quality opponent and we came away with the "W" that's all that matters

Oh we are still 2-0 that's how that works. No just win games and it will all work itself out. Every loss for auburn is one more positive for us on the recruiting trail.

went into Atlanta in front 30,000+ Auburn fans on a "neutral" field to play a team, at the time, ranked 25th in the Coaches poll. Clemson shot itself in the foot enough times to keep the game close, but did expose weaknesses in Auburn's offense in the win.
Auburn's next game took them into hostile SEC territory for an away game against a team and staff with fresh film to study and it took 5 Auburn turnovers to guarantee MissSt a win.
Clemson took care of business against Auburn and against BallSt. First two games of the year always reveal inconsistencies and areas that need much work.....but if Clemson KEEPS taking care of business, the team will have a successful season.
I think our future opponents will not be much debating the strength of our past opponents (which Clemson has absolutely no control over), but will rather be 110% focused on how to stop the offensive juggernaut building up steam very early in the season.
If they're wise, that is.

MSU played them at their house, and had those dayum cowbells ringing the entire game. Makes a difference IMO.
If we had AU at DV, it would have been a better victory. I think AU had more fans in the Dome than we did, so it was more like an AWAY game for us.
