watching the replay, it sure looked like he was down before he fumbled! It was ruled a fumble, then chickens scored a couple plays later.

The play should NEVER have been called in the first place, IMO.
Very stupid. Dabo clearly hasn't learned his lessons of the past.

I have no problem with the call - it went awry when Cade tripped over

a lineman’s foot - bad luck. If either Cade or Mafah had just held on and taken the lose… but I’m not convinced that should have been over turned.

Maybe so. But the smart play by Cade would have been to just fall on the ball and live for another down.
Instead, he tried to play "hero ball"...which he did a couple of times yesterday which cost us bigtime.

Ability he is a serviceable qb. When he gets it in his head that he can do something he’s not really capable of doing it doesn’t end well.

I got no problem with the play call. I can even understand folks not being happy with it. IMO just an unfortunate incident.
However, folks are kidding themselves if they don't think the refs screwd the pooch on the call. No indisputable evidence to overturn that play or the other one with Wesco before half yesterday.
I won't say either lost us the game because that's simply untrue but we had some bad luck at the wrong time yesterday for sure.

Exactly, if it was a forward pass it would’ve been incomplete. There are no incomplete backwards passes, only fumbles.

1. Running Mafah …. Any time, but especially wide on 3rd and 4. Dude is frozen molasses. 2. Jumbo package on 4/1, give to Mafah and he leans forward for 0. 3. Fast ball zipped on open slant (Cade flexing arm strength) incomplete. 4. Haynes on bench…. 5. Last play checked down to Mafah who in his defense probably didn’t expect the toss in game situation. 6. Sammy Brown on bench…
Oh well, wth
