It's clear now that Dabo won't. He doesn't even see the problems, unless the problem is "fans."
This is all he's got. This is the pinnacle of "success" that Dabo will have at Clemson. Two natties with two generational players, and some conference wins during a stretch of weak ACC competition.
It's also amusing how he blames fans, when fan discontent reaching a fever pitch is the only thing that's held him accountable.
If it weren't for fans, we'd still have Streeter.
If it weren't for fans, we'd still have porky pie.
That's the reason he resents us so much. Accountability.
So here we are. Are you fine riding on the glory days of long ago, while maintaining consistent mediocrity at an elite price tag.
Or, are you ready for Dabo to pack his bags, take his show on the road, and try something new?
I'm not happy with the status quo. It's not going to change with Dabo. So yeah. I want Dabo gone, and replaced with a guy that actually hates to lose.

id like to see Dabo tone down the rhetoric and hit the books
i would also like to see no major contract adjustments in the near future
im pulling for him but we should have an exit strategy and hold the cards

best conference in the country in 2016. I'm grateful for those amazing years. But I think this era of ball has passed him by. He's not willing to adapt, but rather defend his way of doing things. Those ways worked back then, no doubt, but the game has changed and he hasn't.

I have serious doubts that TNet whining moved the needle on any of those changes.
Heaven help us if he starts running the program based on TNet input.

Some fans still fail to grasp Dabo is not willing to change. He also talked his way in to this preseason with the 16-0 fairytale.

is really dang good! He sucks so bad his legacy will be only 2 national titles, playing in 4 title games and winning ACC titles only bc the conference stunk?? Its worth mentioning since we have been "down", we still won 2 ACC titles. 20 years ago all any of us wanted to just play in the ACC title game.
Our program is stuck outside the elite group of teams right now but we are still 41-16 since TL left with 2 ACC titles and a CFP appearance. The wheels haven't fallen off yet.

Elite programs maintain momentum.
We lost it. It's doubtful we'll regain it under Dabo.
So. Again. Was.

Careful what you wish for. Throughout cfb history teams fire coaches and bring in some "savior" only to fall flat on their face. Then spend a few decades w coach after coach trying to get it back. There isn't a single coach they could hire that I would have any more confidence in than Dabo. I agree he's been slow adapting not to mention I question some of his position coaching hires but it's hard to argue with his record ( recent history not withstanding).

You are correct. Be careful of what you ask for. There have been plenty of spoiled programs chase themselves straight into the ditch.

Its unfortunate that just as we reached the pinnacle of college football the entire landscape changed and suddenly we went from elite, to pretty solid to, now, also ran in just a few years of the NIL era. Not sure anyone else could have navigated the last few years better than Dabo but its becoming apparent he isn't really cut out for this new world where your entire team can transfer out whenever they want and your homespun good old boy demeanor doesnt mean jack #### any more.
I really do hate it for him but its like watching a caveman trying to navigate an iPhone with him these days. Id always hoped he would go out, if not on top, at least with his dignity but its not gonna take many more press conferences like today before even that won't be an option.

Bc I think we are past that and doing fine .. maybe we pick up a guy or two in the portal that works but our issues are mentality and coaching.... We have a lot more studs than nearly everyone we play .

Unfortunately, we are stuck with a coach we are overpaying at $11 million a year, due to a contract with an insane buyout.
I realize we felt like we had to do it at the time, but a $60 million buyout was a horrible contract for Clemson.
The chances of Dabo figuring things out and getting us back to being elite are decreasing rapidly. That is largely due to his own hubris and ego.

So the $4M we pay Brownell is worth it. Wow. What has he won? Why do his players leave? Why are we frustrated every year with the basketball team? Should I list the embarrassing losses to the no names? Yet you sit on here and preach about Dabo, his pay, etc? Be the basketball super fan, fine, but please stop your BS about football.

Would work.... Who is better that would take the job and run with it? I'm sure the interest is high but you have to find somebody that can 80% of games, make playoff every year, win ACC title probably 2 out of every 3 yrs and so on.... Not alot of those guys out there.
As is said below, we have still won 72% of our games since Lawrence left, it's not elite but for a school like Clemson that will NEVER be in the same footing financially as the blue bloods... That's still pretty dang good.
All I'm saying is let's let the season play out before we lose our minds ... Remember Ohio State fans wanted Ryan Day fired for the playoff last year.

You really think Dabo listens to fans and makes decisions about the program based on the pressure fans apply?? Man I have some great ocean front property for sale in Arizona, are you interested?
