It has been very silent this spring from our program

Jun 12, 2018, 11:54 AM

I keep hearing the Gamecocks chirping of how great they are Muschamp and all of the have been very vocal about what they expect this season.

Meanwhile I haven’t heard anything from the Clemson camp. I kindof like it.

Is it just me or has it been a really silent spring?

Coots have everything to prove and are chirping to anyone that will listen that they're going to be better and yada yada yada. Meanwhile, Clemson has nothing to prove. We've established ourselves, and it's business as usual. There's a title on the mind in the Clemson program, while the Coots are hoping to win 8 or 9 games.

Nothing to Prove?

I disagree strongly. While we may have a better image in football now than we've had in the past, we have to prove our ability every game and every year - or the image becomes tarnished. Everything's relative in football and as long as you're not the top team, you're less thought of than somebody else. So, to be the best, you have to beat the best...... every year. Your reputation can get by on past accomplishments for a while, but it's like fish and house guests..... after a while, it starts to stink.

There's a big difference between "recruiting well" and bridging the talent gap. They have a looooooooooooong way to go. Most (and by that I mean 95% of them) are too stupid to understand that.

Screw Calford.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean?

By "program" do you mean coaches or fans?

I haven't seen any difference in coaches, have you?

Our fans are discussing players, season expectations, and recruiting as usual.

Their fans are resting their laurels on a bunch of kids who haven't even signed with their school, and has become the norm many of them will "decoot" after a mediocre season (at best) and before signing day.

Is that what you're referring to?

Gotta disagree... with belk, Hunter, sterling

Transferring. There seems to be more going on last spring (2018) than usual.
