It'd be fascinating to see how he'd do without Fox News running interference for him and essentially acting as his personal propaganda wing. There is zero daylight now between Fox and RT, they even look the same. There are other outlets and networks like OAN and Newsmax in the MAGA-sphere but they're cartoonishly bad for the most part. Fox still very much carries the water for Donald.
But right now Fox is still controlled by Rupert Murdoch, who is 94 years old, and run day-to-day by his oldest son Lachlan, who earned Pops' favor by embracing Rupert's arch-conservative and often pro-autocratic worldview. The problem there is Lachlan is only one of four kids with an equal share in the company and the other three can't stand him. Those close to the family are pretty universal in their opinion that thirty seconds after the elder Murdoch finally kicks, they'll move to fire Lachlan and his younger son James, who is adamantly opposed to Fox's current direction, will take the network over.
They're not going to go Bernie Bro overnight. They'll stay a conservative-leaning outlet. But their days of acting like an authoritarian's propaganda network would be over pretty much instantly and without that cover that built-in immovable 30% base Trump has would plummet.
Populist movements only last so long. You can only break so many things for an extended period of time before people figure out that's all you ever knew how to do and hey, that's their house being set aflame.

If most people had an actual clue of what is going on , there would be a guillotine in front of the white house.
And It will take an act of Congress, if not several, to gain the trust of our former allies, assuming we can. And I can not imagine this will be a good look for the GOP when the dust settles, but then again, the Democrats are kind of sitting on their hands when they should be shouting impeachment through the halls of the capital.
It speaks volumes about our ability to be the beacon for the rest of the world to follow.. I believe those days are behind us.

Why should they shout impeachment when they could never make it happen? They would look silly and they would be drawing attention to what little power they have. Maybe after the midterms.

This is a great point.
It’s amazing the people who watch 5+ hours of foxnews a day and have almost zero knowledge of what Trump says and does. They are experts on what some democratic city council member said in a city they would never visit.
