What Trump and his minions did and said in November and December of 2020 has permanently altered the history of our nation. The simple act of having the decency to lose with grace eludes the man, it is an irredeemable character flaw. The peaceful transfer of power is one of those “democratic norms” that we used to be able to take pride in as a country.
There are a lot of hardcore MAGA dudes that read this forum, y’all need to understand and accept that this ^^^ is the primary reason a lot of us will never vote for him or the people who reinforce his deceit.

Clearly defines his base. He has done an outstanding job of gathering together the nation's babies whose daddies never taught them how to accept defeat like men.

Good analysis yesterday. Before Trump, the worst trash in this country was spread between the two major parties and independents. Trump cemented all the racists, nazis, and child molestors into the Republican party, giving them a solid 44% of the country as a base, up from 33% when Bush was president. Problem is, the trash has taken over.

Summary of Government's Motion for Immunity Determinations The defendant, Donald J. Trump, claims immunity from prosecution related to actions taken to overturn the 2020 election.
The government argues his conduct was private, not official, and thus not protected by presidential immunity.
The motion outlines Trump's alleged criminal activities, including deceitful actions aimed at state officials and inciting the January 6 Capitol riot.
The government seeks a court ruling that Trump must stand trial for his actions, asserting that none are immunized from prosecution.

He has a terrible record and is trying to save some face with a document that can’t be disputed; as the case will never go to trial.
Eat it up lemmings and enjoy your shallow lives.

J Smith filing has nothing to do with trying to win J6 case against Trump
Oct 2, 2024, 5:55 PM
|
|
Its only purpose is to create a smear campaign against Trump.
This huge document is not related to the superseding indictment in that it is not intended as an evidentiary presentation.
Rather, the document is a prosecutorial soliloquy that pretends to enlighten the judge about how the prosecution’s case is not constrained by Article 2 presidential immunity protections. Being an opinion document, this ~ 160 page monster provides the platform for the DoJ’s legally bankrupt case to proffer the government’s wild theories as to how Trump tried to overthrow democracy.
Crooked irony is in play. The prosecution had previously gotten the gag order on Trump via the legal argument that Trump would reveal witness testimonies if he were not gagged. The prosecution argued that publicly revealing witness testimony before the trial went forward would be prejudicial to a future jury. So Trump got gagged. Yet, this ~160 page ‘background story’ document cites explicit witness testimonies. Even with the witness’ names being redacted, their testimony is now in the public. Be mindful that not witness testimony is allowed into a trial. The witnesses and their testimony is argued by both the defense and the prosecution before it gets admitted by the judge into evidence. Now, this witness testimony, which may not turn out to be admitted into evidence, has been aired for the world … and potential jurors … to see. Thus, prejudicing the trial and increasing the likelihood of a mistrial.
So, again, why would the prosecution want this aired and why would the TDS judge allow it to be aired? Because they know that the J6 case is DOA, but that public opinion might be influenced to the detriment of Trump’s electoral prospects.

FYI.
The State of NY Appeals Court is now hearing Trump’s appeal of the ‘overvalued assets’ guilty verdict with the _$450,000,000 judgement. The prelimsry questions from the five appeals court judges … three of them in particular … ridiculed the prosecution’s attorney. This one from among the Trump guilty verdicts is going to be substantially, if not entirely, overturned. This might happen before the election, but probably not until afterward.
The State of NY vs Trump ‘hush money’ case is being run up the ladder of the Federal court system. Because the case itself was twisted into an election interference case, the Federal government has jurisdiction in this one. No one in the State of NY was harmed by the Trump hush money activity. Trump did not win NY State in either the 2016 or 2020 election. More relevant, election interference at the National level is not a state matter. The verdict in this travesty of a case and the 34 joke counts of fraud will be vacated by the US Appeals Court. That won’t happen until well after the election.

When told by an aide that Vice President Mike Pence was in peril as the rioting on Capitol Hill escalated on Jan. 6, 2021, President Donald J. Trump replied, “So what?”

The irony to your belief is that evidence did indeed come out. Not anything that helps the TDS’ers, however.
Trump / insurrection. That got destroyed once and for all by the e-mail evidence and transcripts of Gen.Mark Milley’s receipt of Trump’s J3 request (J3 came before J6) for the military to call up 10,000 troops to ‘keep everything safe,’ only for Milley to disobey a direct order from the (still through ~ Jan.20) Commander in Chief … Donald Trump. This evidence and transcripts are part of the Congressional record.
Soooo … Trump could not have been plann8ng a violent overthrow of the 2020 election because he called for 10,000 troops to keep everything safe.
As for the inflammatory ‘false electors’ (the correct term is “alternative electors”) matter, the ‘pre-2021’ purportedly ‘unambiguous’ law that made impossible a legal interpretation that alternate electors could feasible be lega was anything but ‘unambiguous.’
How do I know this? First, because the word “unambiguous” means that any interpretation other than THE ONE cannot be reached. A decomposed person is unambiguously dead. A walking talking person is unambiguously alive. A person in a deep comma with breathing so shallow that a layperson without instruments may not be able to discern breathing, indiscernible pulse via the fingers-on-the-wrist test, and unusually low body temperature is not unambiguously dead.
After Trump was denied court time to argue his slates of alternate electors, Congress passed another law to make their first ‘unambiguous’ no-alternative-electors law even more unambiguouser. The dead man wasn’t dead enough. He had to be judged to be even deader. That tells it all. If Congress and the legal community really believed that the law that Trump ‘broke’ was unambiguous, then the passage of an add-on law was utterly superfluous. Yet, Congress passed such an add-in law.
Finally, Pence said that Trump lost. Trump said ‘so what.’ Trump was tell8ng Pence that he didn’t respect Pence’s opinion. Trump 2as right in that the election results were inconclusive, and that those inconclusive results needed to be proven conclusive as a means of assuring election integrity. Enforcement of laws is the duty of the president.
State of GA is, only now, in the final stages (awaiting the verdict) of a multi- year (lack of) election integrity lawsuit that encompasses GA elections going all the way back to 2016. This is a Federal case. If Trump had been accused of being ‘wrong’ about his doubts about election integrity and subsequently about the election results, then this case alone validates his concerns. It also negates Mike Pence’s opinions.
