Not sure why we do this now.
It was obvious momma White was an UGA lock for quiet some time.

that they wouldn't offer any more RBs until he made a decision. And they stuck to it.

I think the staff made some errors in the RB recruiting. It had been quite evident for some time that White was HIGHLY likely heading to Georgia. As a matter of fact, when White last visited Clemson (Spring Game?) he looked miserable, then left Clemson early and took off to Georgia. They could have then had much more inroads with Teague. I wouldn't fault him on bit for turning down Clemson's offer. I hope the staff will work to recognize better in the future when it's time to move in another direction.

I'd rather the staff make a promise and keep it, than lie. Simple as that. If the 'Master' can't appreciate a person's word, then he's cut from the wrong bolt of fabric. That said, he's given his word to tOSU...so let's see if his principles align with Clemson's staff. I'd rather he have them, than flip, to be honest. Plus, I don't think any recruit should try to strong-arm a program...anymore than a program should try to strong-arm a recruit. Respect cuts both ways...50/50.

why are you so salty?? ??

What in his comments infer that he doesn't respect a person's word? Or that he isn't a man of his word?
If somethings changes with his commitment to the tree nuts, and he wants to accept the Clmson offer, then he is entitled to that decision also, isn't he? It appears to me, that we were his first choice but he was not ours... But if the staff can work out a reconciliation and go forward happily ever after, would you be opposed to it? Seriously, I'd like to know for informational purpose only...

It could be that you misunderstood the comment. Personally I didn't take it as salty, maybe I misunderstood, and maybe not....

Or in his place,an outright lie.
Master a good back, I'm not a coach, don't pretend to know more than a coach, but I like TJ Pledger better.
Is MT the guy Hood was talking about ???

He has size unlike any other back in our roster. Pledger is similar to our other backs. I'd rather go with the power back this year because it looks like we will take a smaller back next year in Ford.

I'm a Clemson fan and I agree. We chased away many good backs holding out for Zeus.

He was told Clemson only taking 1 RB this cycle.

He can be that 1 at Clemson or he can be 1 of 3 being taken by OSU this year. He knew when an offer would come from Clemson, if there was gonna be one. If OSU is home for him,no harm, no foul.

It's possible the staff regrets the way they handled recruiting a running back this year. If so, it would be a rare mistake on their part. If this is the case be assured Dabo will use it as a learning experience and gain from it in some way or the other. I have total confidence in them regardless! Go Tigers.. we appreciate this special time in our lives.

I can't agree with that completely. We held our running backs lot hostage for a kid that did not even place us in the top three. That is a serious miscalculation.

It seems that they had made their choice of who they were going to offer and did so. It wouldn't have been right to offer two RBs with just one slot open for a RB. That would be the way the sec does with their recruitment!!!

I hardly doubt the staff has regrets and in no way did they mess this up. The staff gave its word, White chose UGA, and now it proved it was a staff keeps it word. This staff has taken this team to 6 straight 10+ win seasons and two straight playoffs and a national championship. I don't think I'll question their tactics.

wasn't real worried if they even took a back in this cycle. The hoped they could get Zeus and gave him a lotta love, but if they didn't land him they knew they'd be okay until next cycle. So they weren't fretting having a back at all this time. Seems to me that is what happened.

Its was pretty obvious that mommy had GA on the mind and was set along time ago. We should offered MT 2 months ago. Losing Dye made it a must to get a great rb. I believe a little ego was in play here. We need a power back with good speed. MT or HJ for me would make ZW a passed thought.
