"Pickens County deputies said a man was gunned down at about 8:30 p.m. in the gated community of Chimney Ridge. The Pickens County Coroner identified the shooting victim as 23-year-old Steven Gregory Grich of Fort Mill. He died at the scene.
Investigators said three to four people broke into a home on Smoke Rise Drive and assaulted Grich and others inside"

B) It's sounds like you've been watching one too many law and orders, "brah"... because you don't know what the eff you are talking about. Armed robberies a committed is all shapes and sizes. That's why they have these things called investigation, trials, etc, to figure out what happened and how. I guess we could put you in charge, since you are clearly smarter than detectives that actually are going out and talking with people, to find out what happened.

I teach HS and prayers sent to all involved. This crime wave is only going to grow as today's kids don't value human life. Schools have done a crap job of punishing turds and there aren't enough police to meet the needs of increasing crime.

A group of people do not break into a college students house while the residents are there to steal their tvs and electronics. The only reason you get four armed men kicking down your door when you live in a college apartment in Clemson is if you have drugs.

My understanding is that the suspects were after marijuana that belonged to Grich's roommate. This from a radio report, so it may not be accurate.
If, however, it is accurate, then the police might need to take a closer look at the activities of the roommate. It sounds like he was moving enough product to get somebody's interest and courage up to the point that they were willing to break into an occupied home, armed and ready for trouble.
