I met Bruce once or twice; whenever I might randomly show up at one of the STI tailgates. Mostly though I knew him online. The one thing that can be said of him that few of us could claim is that there was hardly, if ever, a mean-spirited post from him. If I stopped randomly and took a look at my last post on here -- basically the online legacy we leave behind -- I don't know if I could be certain I'd be proud of it. Celtic's, however, is about nearly being bowled over by his pup. Beer, dogs, and a general, eternal kindness to everybody who came on here.
I didn't know Bruce as well as many of you did, but it has been a true joy to live your friendship vicariously through your stories of him, and fill in the missing pages of what I did know of him from our Lunge experience. If we are to judge him by the theme of the eulogies today, he was truly one of the best of us. And, hearing that unmistakable theme of warmth and kindness, validates a decision I made a few years back to try excise all the anger and bitterness (especially that which comes from politics) we are sometimes prone to experience, and focus on leaving a legacy of love, kindness, and altruism. Basically, live as a good human would.
And, that I believe to be Celtic's lasting legacy. He was, and will always be, a good, good human.
I'm honoring Bruce tonight with El Tesoro. My absolute favorite tequila. The second shot will remain on my tequila shelf tonight, in case he cares to haunt me just long enough to drink it down.

Lived in Greenwood for a while, wish I was there to see everyone dressed up. Going look like game day at Memorial Gardens.
TNet is one of the few things that help me keep tab on things down south. I never met Celtic but definitely felt like I knew him.
