Yes. Why do you think the the playoff was expanded? It wasn't expanded just to help out the little guy. It was to benefit the SEC and BIG. More schools in the playoff = more money, and more free marketing.

Why is everyone so obsessed with the number from a conference? The question is: who are the best teams? I would say the SEC has at least 4-5 of the top 12 teams in the country.

I know it would take a minute of work but have you looked at the standings? Understanding the system is very easy and at this point there are 4 Big10 teams and 4 SEC teams in the Playoffs.

It depends on what happens with the remaining Top 10 games.
The Indiana-Ohio State winner is in.
Unless Penn State drops an unexpected gave, they are in.
Oregon is in.
That gives the BIG at least 3.
Big 12 champ is in.
Notre Dame is in if they don't lose another game.
That's 5.
SEC champ is in 6.
Highest ranked next 2 conference champs are in. That's 8.
The SEC could very well get the other 4.
They have a lot of 10-2 teams.
That could change if Ole Miss and/or TAMU drop a game.

4 or 5 teams seem fair if they have the talented teams deserving. On certain years it is fair. Not sure about this year.
