is that just for the Walk Ons, or will teams be able to load up with those Portalers ??

If the latter is true, what stops teams from loading up now ?

105 is 105. Can't have more. Pay them, don't pay them, give them a scholarship, don't give them a scholarship...doesn't matter. Just can't have more than 105 (which means about 30 guys currently on the team have to go).

and no more. All can have scholarships and there is no more annual 25 limit.

I don't think Dabo ever had a problem with giving scholarships to 105 players. He was upset that the 20 or so walkons who suited up above that number don't get to be on the team any longer.

The players get to choose and the portal lets players go where they can play

and not sit on the bench. Supply and demand and the supply of talented players hasn't suddenly increased with the scholarship limit allowing teams to load up on top talent.

As we are seeing, even with 85 scholarship there are players leaving the top programs in the country for more playing time. Kirby has been complaining about Georgia's lack of depth all year and they're losing players to the portal. You may be able to sign more players to scholarships, but the quality won't be there.

who are here and consistent, not always formerly on scholarships, but now will be. I don't think there will be as much room to add personnel as people think.
