The narrative around tigernet is that the national media doesn't give Clemson football any respect. Any time a media member says something somewhat negative about our football team, tigernet is triggered to oblivion. HOW DARE THEY SAY THAT ABOUT LITTLE OLE CLEMSON
With basketball it is just the opposite. The detractors cling to the 1 negative aspect of our season (bad losses). They tell us we are not an NCAA tournament team. We hear jay bilas talking more glowingly about Clemson than any "pumper" (as you losers like to say) on tigernet does. Seth Greenberg likes us too, and every coach that mentions us in a presser talks about how solid of a team we are. If I would have posted what jay bilas said last night, I would have been laughed off the board. Most tigernet basketball posters are more comparable to finebum with football, than an actual Clemson basketball fan.
It's sad, pathetic, and hilarious all at the same time.

You unintentionally reveal your complete lack of understanding of the concept. We all have biases. I’m well aware of mine. Therefore I can control (to a degree) for them when making decisions affected by them. You seem to either embrace yours or be oblivious to them.

A large majority of my posts about Brownell are purely responding to the myriad fallacies put forward by you and your compatriots. You’re a relative newcomer to this debate. I’ve been refuting JK’s commentary for years. Strange that after literal years of debate he didn’t ignore me until I completely destroyed him for lying about about the Clemson / UVA game. He’s a very good troll who knows how to utilize a range of logical fallacies and circular reasoning. But I caught him in a concrete lie and produced video evidence of it. It seems like you’ve taken upon yourself acting as his proxy. Convenient timing, at the least. Most of our initial interactions were instigated by you - leaping to his defense. Other than one, purely intentional, reactionary post calling Brownell “a bum”, I can’t recall saying much about Brownell beyond stating his record. Not much more needs be said. You have, on many occasions, felt the need to cast aspersions upon his predecessors and players, using highly subjective language, to defend that record.
And here we are, about to play in a conference semi-final for a shot at, I believe, only our second appearance in a ACC championship and you’re more interested in axe grinding. Pithy comebacks write themselves though. To defend Brownell, you’ve gone to great lengths to portray Purnell as a lousy coach. Yet he made the only other final. So it must just be dumb luck right? When we lose it’s “sometimes shots don’t fall”. Well, when you make your first semi-final in 13 years perhaps the “shots just fell” and the coaching meant nothing. You can’t play it both ways.

Are you saying the sweet 16 is the semifinals lol? And 3rd place in the acc? This is what you are comparing to the football team? The football team has played in actual semifinal games. They have actually won championships. They have won the acc pretty dominantly. That’s why people defend them. The basketball team has underachieved a lot. They have had moments. It’s good to see this team have success this year. But none of that matters if they get left out of the dance. I hope they don’t but if we don’t win tonight that might be the case. All the BB supporters should get down and worship Neff, if it wasn’t for him this season would have been terrible. He lit a fire under Brad with that letter last year.

You are totally on point mountaineer. A very loud bunch just hates BB so badly that they contort their own logic to believe that pulling for us to lose, somehow makes them a super fan. It does not and I will say it again - if you pull against us, you ain’t no fan (trying to help the uneducated necks here)
The closest comparison I can come up with is how the left hates Trump…beyond rational and just hateful.

The lack of in Basketball since the time most of us were born except one final 8 against Connecticut about 40 some years ago.
We would love to win one ACC tournament or go a couple rounds in the NCAA, we’ve been in a drought & you want us to act like it’s been raining for 20 years!
