He'd let Clemson win in spectacular fashion this weekend. NC State has no shot at the playoffs, nor does any other ACC team besides Clemson at this point. And if we don't make it to the playoffs, the entire ACC will be kissing their cut of the playoff check goodbye. I hate to say it, but the smart business move is to take a fall.

If Dave Doeren was smart, which he is not... would he be the coach of NC State? Basically any other school would give him an opportunity at anything... save South Carolina.
I mean, I can remember Wake winning the conference. I can remember UNC and Duke winning the division, I can not remember NC State being anything other than a participant.... and even then not a good one.

They should take safeties and punt all game. Totally in their best interest and I actually doubt you thought of this before Dave Doreen. He’s got that and the opposite, just in case.

You bunch of over the top self proclaimed smart people tried that with Kirby Smart and it didn't work out too well. Coaches don't get to be coaches because they are not smart.

People scoffed when I told them the ACC PAC Big 12 alliance already existed. Their entire purpose is to manipulate the rankings in such that Clemson gets into the playoffs every year, or in the lone exception with Oklahoma, lose to us in spectacular fashion like you say. The alliance runs deep, this I know to be true.
