5 star character changing USC

"In order to win you need good players with good character. In order to win big, South Carolina needs great players with great character. That is one of the most encouraging aspects of the recruiting class of 2007. This class is filled with four-star prospects with five-star character. Prospects such as Quintin Richardson, Cliff Matthews, Travian Robertson, Brian Maddox, and Stephen Garcia are prospects that have all the intangibles. They are all quality young men, leaders with great work ethic and high expectations."


  • Stephen Garcia - Arrested in 5 points for failure to stop for police and public drunkenness. Garcia could have been charged with a lewd act for relieving himself in public along with swinging at a police officer.

  • Stephen Garcia - Arrested for malicious injury to personal property

  • Travian Robertson - USC had to report NCAA violations in the recruitment of Travian.

  • Cliff Matthews - Inside sources are saying that UGA has turned USC in for violations relating to the recruitment of Cliff.

  • Quintin Richardson - On his myspace webpage he had for his favorite things to do " Smoking dope, drinking and hanging with the ladies". Quintin was forced to change it after it was brought to the attention of his HS football coach by USC officials.

  • Quintin Richardson - Suffered stab wounds in an alercation

  • Quintin Richardson - Arrested and charged with simple possesion of marijuana
